About the Foot People

Foot People Kath Lindsay Chiropody Podiatry

Kath Lindsay

I’m Kath and I took over here at what was then Guiseley Chiropody Centre in 2001, my goodness me, where has that time gone. I’m here every week day and will more than likely be the first person you see if you pop in to the clinic. When I’m not in clinic, I like to be outdoors- walking, scuba diving and gardening are my main hobbies. I also love to travel, and enjoy spending time away exploring different places in our van.

Foot People Andrew Lindsay Chiropody Podiatry

Andrew Lindsay

I’m Andy, I do the home visits side of the business up in the Skipton area and come into the clinic on Thursdays and Fridays. I came into podiatry after 13 years in the Royal Engineers. Having that engineering background has very naturally led me into the  biomechanics side of podiatry. in 2017, I launched the gait lab in the Guiseley Clinic and it has become a very popular addition to our services since.

When I’m not working I too love to be outdoors, walking, scuba diving and running.

We both studied podiatry at Huddersfield University, where we met. Kath qualified way back in 1998 and Andy followed in 2000. We married in 2007 and moved to Gargrave just outside Skipton, where we still live today.
In 2009, our clinic became Accredited by The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. We were the first practice in the area to apply for and achieve this ‘Gold Standard’, a standard which we still uphold today.

We love to travel and have a camper van in which we are working our way around the UK. When time allows we head over to Europe and Scandinavia. On a weekend, you can often find us watching the sunset at the seaside after a dive or two or admiring the views from the top of a hill in the Lakes. We also have a joint passion for coffee, this goes well with the travelling bug and our quest for great coffee shops has taken us to some unexpected locations.
